Implementation of Human Rights Policy

APEC adheres to the principles of human rights protection and fundamental rights as outlined in international conventions, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the UN Global Compact, and the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. The Company is committed to ensuring that the fundamental human rights of all employees, job applicants, and supplier employees are respected, protected, and treated with dignity, and that no human rights are infringed.

Establish Equal Treatment Principles

Adhere to the principles of openness and fairness. Discrimination in speech, attitude, or behavior based on gender, race, rank, age, marital status, language, ideology, religion, political affiliation, place of origin, appearance, facial features, physical or mental disabilities, or any other status is strictly prohibited.

Implement Equal Pay for Equal Work

Provide employees with reasonable and lawful compensation in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and arrange social insurance as required. The Company strives to ensure stable employee livelihoods, improve work efficiency, and provide various employee welfare measures.

Provide a Healthy and Safe Working Environment

Adopt zero workplace accidents as the management objective. Annual employee health check-ups are conducted, and the results are managed through a graded follow-up system to identify and prevent potential health risks.

Prohibit Forced Labor

Comply with local labor laws, international standards, and the APEC Human Rights Policy, respect employees’ free will, and strictly prohibit any form of forced labor.

Prohibition of Child Labor

Employment standards comply with the minimum age requirements stipulated by local laws and regulations. As of 2025, the number of child labor cases is zero.

Establish a Diverse, Inclusive, Non-Discriminatory, Harassment-Free, and Humane Workplace

The Code of Conduct strictly prohibits any form of gender discrimination, verbal or physical harassment, and workplace bullying. Complaint channels and confidentiality mechanisms are established, and regular training on gender equality, anti-discrimination, and anti-harassment is conducted to strengthen awareness and accountability among all employees.

Protection of Employees’ Freedom of Association

By establishing effective labor–management communication and consultation platforms, the Company promotes harmonious labor relations. Employees are encouraged to form and participate in employee clubs and associations.

Protection of the Human Rights of Diverse Groups

The Company encourages the employment of disadvantaged groups and provides appropriate training and employment support. For international or foreign employees, assistance is provided to help them integrate into the workplace. The Company also supports gender diversity and fosters a safe, non-discriminatory, and inclusive working environment.

Specific Actions

  • Comply with legal requirements that mandate the employment of one person with disabilities for every 100 employees, ensuring additional employment opportunities for disadvantaged groups.
  • Implement an attendance management system and monitor working hours through daily clock-in records to prevent excessive overtime and forced labor.
  • Establish internal policies and publicly announce them within the Company to strictly prohibit sexual harassment and ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Provide human rights education and training programs, including “Workplace Sexual Harassment Prevention” training, totaling 82 hours.
  • Establish communication channels and implement employee complaint and grievance handling procedures to safeguard the rights and obligations of both complainants and investigated parties. No human rights violation incidents occurred in 2025.
